Adele's album “30” was the best-selling album of 2021 worldwide, according to information from the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) report.
The work was officially released in November, the end of the year, making Adele the first artist to lead the ranking of best-selling albums in 4 years.
Released in November 2021, the album was an immediate global success, reaching number one in over 20 countries.
According to IFPI CEO Frances Moore:
“It was wonderful to have Adele back and release music in the second half of last year, we are excited to award Adele and her entire team the IFPI Global Album All Format Award and send you big congratulations on a stellar year.”
